Grow Yarn Bomb

Last week I shared that my word for 2015 is ‘Grow‘.

While I didn’t specifically include doing yarn bombings as a goal this year, it was something that I really enjoyed last year. My word for 2014 was ‘shine’, and my first yarn bomb of the year was very shine related.

I decided I wanted to start 2015 with a grow yarn bomb.

I made five yarn daffodil flowers by attaching yarn pom-poms to bamboo skewers. Then I was easily able to place the skewers in the ground.

I thought the bright yellow flowers would be a nice surprise. So while it might technically be the middle of winter, I was able to grow a small patch of flowers in a local parking lot.

I’m hoping it brightens the day of whoever sees it. Which is really why I love doing yarn bombs in the first place!
