Growing up in the Dallas area meant that Sundays in the fall were meant for one thing, watching football. You can bet that I married a football fan and we keep the tradition going in our house. And there is just one thing that makes watching football better, big game treats.

These football pastries and candy hamburgers will definitely satisfy any sweet tooths you have.

I picked up some fun sized SNICKERS® and a bag of Starburst® the last time I was at Walmart. I also grabbed a package of puff pastry, fudge cookies, red frosting, chocolate frosting, and vanilla wafers.

The football pastries might be the simplest thing ever. Following the directions on your puff pastry let it thaw. Then cut out some football shapes. Stack one piece of pastry, one fun size SNICKERS, and another pastry. Slightly wet the edges of the pastry with your finger to help the layers stick together. I brushed the top with some melted butter. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. I used the chocolate frosting to make mine look like footballs. Then bite into the delicious gooey center.

Now it’s time for some hamburgers! My first step was to prep my Starburst cheese and lettuce. For the cheese I used orange Starbursts that I heated slightly in the microwave to make them soft enough to roll out into a square shape. The lettuce starts as a yellow Starburst. I also heated those but rolled them out into a larger circle. I scrunched them up a bit to make them look more like lettuce. Then I painted them with blue food coloring to make them turn green.

Once my cheese and lettuce was ready I layered a vanilla wafer bun, a fudge cookie hamburger patty, then my orange Starburst cheese, Starburst lettuce, red frosting ketchup, and another wafer bun.

The hamburgers are ready!

And you could personalize your hamburger with some yellow frosting mustard or other condiment candies as well. I love all the different possibilities!

Now that I’ve shared some of my big game dessert recipe’s, what are you planning to make for the big game? Let me know!
