Fourth of July Yarn Bomb

June 30, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

It just wouldn't be a holiday without a themed yarn bomb to go with it. With the Fourth of July happening on Saturday it was high time for a Fourth of July Yarn Bomb. These are similar to the stars that are currently on my patriotic wreath. I thought I'd brighten up a few spots downtown with some red, white, and blue patriotic crochet stars. Grab the FREE crochet pattern here to make your … [Read more...]

Mother’s Day Yarn Bomb

May 5, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

I crocheted a couple dozen flowers. Added button centers. And attached them to green wooden stakes with floral wire. (I shared some of my yarn bomb preparation HERE.) I put the kids and the flowers in the car and we headed off to deliver our Mother's Day yarn bomb. We left groupings of flowers all over my Mom's and my Mother-in-law's front yard. Mainly I let Littlest put the flowers wherever … [Read more...]

I'm doing a combination of crochet red poppy-like flowers and some pink crocheted flowers. Each flower is crocheted and then I … [Read more...]

Spread the Love Yarn Bomb

February 10, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

It's Valentine's week! And I have been crocheting hearts as part of my annual yarn bomb. (Here's 2014 and 2013). I'll be leaving these cuties around town this week with little notes attached to them, like "you are loved" and "spread the love", along with the hashtag "CCSpreadTheLove". If you want to play along feel free to make and share your own hearts with the hashtag as well! And the … [Read more...]

Grow Yarn Bomb

January 6, 2015 by Julie 2 Comments

Last week I shared that my word for 2015 is 'Grow'. While I didn't specifically include doing yarn bombings as a goal this year, it was something that I really enjoyed last year. My word for 2014 was 'shine', and my first yarn bomb of the year was very shine related. I decided I wanted to start 2015 with a grow yarn bomb. I made five yarn … [Read more...]
