You know how by washing your car you are almost guaranteeing that it will rain? It would appear that the same correlation works for window washing as well.
For the first time since we’ve lived in our apartment (about two years) we had window washers come visit us. Over a couple of days last week they washed all the exterior windows on our building. How fitting then that we have had rain almost every day since they were done. Friday night were some of the strongest winds and rain we’ve had in awhile. My husband took a really cool video and tweeted it to the local news station. A few minutes later they were sharing his video on the air. Seems fitting since his brother and his brothers wife both work in the news industry (radio and television respectively).
Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day. My husband took Youngest Twin fishing that morning and we all made sure to enjoy some time outside. But it was just a prelude to more storms on Sunday. Sunday’s storms had the added bonus of a very sick Littlest at our house. He ran a fever of around 102 most of the day. Then in the evening it spiked to 105. He was taking fever reducing medication and we tried to cool him down with washcloths but nothing was helping. I called the after-hours nurse line who said we should take him to an urgent care center. They checked him out, including a strep test, but couldn’t find anything wrong. So home we went to continue to monitor him. While I stayed awake, checking his temperature and trying to keep him comfortable, I also got to watch the approaching storms. I was impressed with myself for being able to capture the lightning striking over downtown.
I’m still not sure what caused his high fever but it hasn’t spiked again since last night. Fingers crossed he is on the mend and back to his rambunctious self soon.
