Throw Kindness Around Like Confetti for Random Acts of Kindness Week

January 29, 2018 by Julie Leave a Comment

Spread kindness through these fun DIY projects that are perfect for Random Acts of Kindness Week!

Random Act of Kindness Week

There is never a wrong time to be kind. But there is a week in February that is set aside as Random Acts of Kindness Week. It started as a day, but has evolved over time. I think the pairing with February is perfect. It’s already the month where we celebrate love and Valentine’s Day. It’s natural then to follow-up Valentine’s Day with a week of being kind to everyone.

Random Act of Kindness Week

To celebrate this year I came up with 5 days worth of random acts of kindness. And the week starts off with Kindness is Sweet, because who couldn’t use a sweet treat on a Monday? I got a dozen glass milk jars and filled them with assorted chocolate candies. Attach a simple Kindness is Sweet note and pass those sweets around!

I’ll admit that I don’t know my current neighbors as well as I have in the past. A great way to remedy that is to say Hey Neighbor! Give your neighbor some flowers in bud vase. You could do fresh flowers or some pretty fake flowers. I filled my vase with kindness coins and then added some faux blooms. You could also pass out the kindness coins to everyone you talk to during the week.

For those with a green thumb you can Plant Kindness. Pick up a package of seed pots and then Mod Podge a leaf paper napkin on top to give it some color.

Pair it with a package of seeds, or plant the seeds yourself. Give your kindness gift with a little note about planting kindness and watching it grow.

Thursday isn’t just any Thursday during Random Act of Kindness Week, this week it’s Thankful Thursday. Saying thank you for all the little things people do for us is a fantastic way to show kindness. Pick up a package of Thank You cards and write notes to everyone you can think of.

Friday means it’s time for a Random Acts of Kindness party, and nothing says party like confetti. Throw some actual confetti around with all that kindness you’ve been spreading all week. I poured some confetti into a glass milk bottle that I can pair with this free printable – Throw Kindness Around Like Confetti.
