DIY Compliment Cards

Compliment Cards

My word for 2016 is ‘Impact‘. And one of my goals is to also help my kids make a positive impact on the world around them. As a quick random acts of kindness project we made Compliment Cards.

Compliment Cards

For this project I really only needed some paper, scissors, glue, and a package of Extra® Gum Spearmint.

The kids helped pick phrases like “you rock” and “you deserve a high high”. I added a few like “you are capable of great things”. Once we had picked all of our compliments, I typed them up and printed out the cards. Print your own cards with the link below!

I went with a simple text for the cards themselves because I wanted them to be easy to read (and for you to print). So to brighten them up and make them stand out a little more, they are compliment cards after all, we used a couple sheets of bright happy scrapbook paper. Once our cards were cut out we cut the scrapbook paper slightly larger than our cards and glued the cards on top.

Once the cards were done drying we added a stick of gum to each card. Some cards got a stick of Extra® Gum Spearmint and some got Extra® Gum Polar Ice®. A few got both! A compliment is even better with a little gift, right?

Compliment Cards

I picked up a package of the new Extra® 35-stick pack on my latest trip to CVS. They are easy to find in the checkout line. With more gum in each package there is plenty to go around. Split them between your desk and your purse. And have some to give away to friends and strangers.

Compliment Cards

And seriously, I am obsessed with the new durable packaging.

The kids and I are ready to hand out our Compliment Cards to friends, family, even strangers we pass on the street. Everyone could use a compliment card!

Which of these Give Extra and Get Extra projects would you like to try?
