something other than a ponytail

June 7, 2012 by Julie Leave a Comment

In the summer I wear ponytails a lot. It’s hot, and I just want my hair up.

But sometimes I want to look a little more grown-up. People already think I’m much younger than I am, and wearing a ponytail all the time doesn’t really help.

I saw this hairstyle on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.

The first time I tried this hairstyle was a failure. My hair isn’t as long so my tucked in part is smaller. I also have super thick hair and the regular bobby pins weren’t holding my up. It all fell down within an hour.

The second time I did this hairstyle went MUCH better. Instead of bobby pins I used large alligator clips. It stayed up all day, even through playing outside with the toddler.

And of course I had to wear one of my crochet flowers.

Oh that is so pretty and simple. I think my hair is long enough to do that. Now I just have to find a flower. Thanks for sharing!

It looks super cute. I wish I had enough hair to do fun things. It is so thin and fine that mostly it just sits there.
