Tomorrow is world yarn bombing day.
For over a year I have kept all the little ends from my knitting and crocheting projects. Tying them one to another and rolling them into a ball. Actually two, but here is one of them.
For a long time I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with the yarn. Several idea’s floated around my head, but I wasn’t in love with any of them.
When I found out this Saturday was world yarn bombing day I had my inspiration. I grabbed a large crochet hook and started crocheting. (A plain half-double crochet throughout.) I let the color, sizes, and texture changes of the yarn be the only pattern.
I’m excited for tomorrow!
(Tomorrow is also the start of worldwide knitting in public day. It runs through the 17th. And no, I don’t know why knitting in public *day* lasts for a week.)
