Narwhal Birthday Party

Want to party like a narwhal? Throw an enchanting Narwhal Birthday Party everyone will want to attend!

The most narly birthday party I’ve ever been to! My niece just turned one and my sister put together the sweetest narwhal themed birthday party.

These narwhal cupcakes were made with blue cupcakes and blue frosting. Then they were topped with fondant narwhal tusks. (Did you know that on a narwhal their horn is actually a tusk?!)

She also sprinkled on some crushed blue rock candy and under the sea themed sprinkles. Then each cupcake was sprinkled with a little edible gold dust!

Technically these were sold as ‘unicorn’ cupcakes, but the blue color made them fit the narwhal theme perfectly! These were ordered from a local bakery. Donuts topped with blue glaze and a small white fondant horn/tusk.

All the food laid out in the party room. The hanging backdrop was made from strips of plastic tablecloths tied to a string. The colors matched the narwhal theme and the colors of the food and serving items.

The birthday girl even had a narwhal costume to wear during her birthday party! Mylar balloons might be my favorite party decoration. They make such a great impact, and were the perfect backdrop for the birthday girl to blow out her candle and try her cake.

My niece got her own narwhal themed smash cake. The meringue cookies around the edge were handmade in starfish and other shell shapes.

Each guest got to take home a bag of narwhal popcorn! The candy coated popcorn was a mix of white, pink, and blue, with under the sea themed sprinkles and candy.

A birthday party needs some birthday games! We played pin the tusk on the narwhal. Some of the table decorations included other sea friends, and snacks included these adorable cheese cracker whales.
