Easter Bunny Donuts

March 23, 2018 by Julie 8 Comments

Powder sugar donuts easily transform into the cutest Easter Bunny Donuts that you will want to eat!

Bunny Donuts

My Littlest loves powdered sugar donuts. That and glazed are his donut flavors of choice. Personally, I like cake donuts. There is a blueberry cake donut that I’m kind of obsessed with at the moment. And chocolate iced/chocolate covered glazed donuts.

The twins really like the powdered sugar donuts as well. And they are conveniently located at the grocery store. And there is usually an amount divisible by three, at least the package I buy, so my kids all get the same number of donuts. Which is vitally important that all the boys get the same.

To turn my powdered sugar donuts into bunny donuts I just needed a few supplies/ingredients that I already had on hand.

Bunny Donuts

Supplies:
Powdered sugar donuts
Eyes – Mini chocolate chips/chocolate chips/chocolate frosting
Nose – Marshmallows and pink sugar or pink bubblegum sprinkles
Ears – Pink and white paper
Whiskers – chocolate sprinkles

Littlest and I even did a video to show how we put our bunny donuts together!

The nose goes in the center, add the eyes, and put on the optional whiskers. We mostly used marshmallows for our bunny noses. The mini size works great but you can also cut or pull off a small piece from a larger marshmallow. Dip the marshmallow in water and then in the colored sugar. For most of the eyes we used chocolate chips so Littlest could remove them before eating. (He doesn’t like chocolate.) But you can also use the frosting and then eat them. Chocolate jimmies/sprinkles make great bunny whiskers!

Lastly, the paper ears get inserted into the donut, just remove them before eating of course.

And here are some bunny donuts I made with striped pink paper for the ears.

A quick way to put together a cute Easter breakfast. And there’s no cooking! You just have to assemble your bunnies.

Easter bunny donuts are a fun breakfast treat for the kids (that they couldn’t wait to eat)!
