Cowboy and cowgirl birthday party

July 17, 2012 by Julie Leave a Comment

My niece and nephew are two years apart in age, but their birthdays are just a few days apart from each other. So for their 1st and 3rd birthdays my sister-in-law threw them a joint cowgirl and cowboy birthday party. Chasing around my own kids I didn’t get a whole bunch of pictures, but she did such a fabulous job I wanted to share the ones that I had.
My niece in her birthday outfit. The party colors were red and blue. She’s wearing a red and blue tutu and cute boots.

This was at the entry when you walked in. Cowboy hats and Sheriff badges for all of the guests. She even made headbands with little straw hats on them for the girls.

The dessert table before she brought out the cupcakes. There are pretzels dipped in chocolate and coconut, cowboy suckers (with boots and stars), and giant marshmallows dipped in chocolate and graham crackers.

Wanted posters with pictures of the guests (the toddler is on the bottom right poster in the bottom right of the picture)

Lasso the horse and cow

Yee-haw!

Looks great. On the weekend we did one of those mobile kids reptile parties and it was great because it was indoors and raining outside.
Funny thing was that after the kids dressed up in cowboy gear and pretended they were tacking rattlesnakes!
