new shorts

June 26, 2012 by Julie Leave a Comment

I have discovered that in the heat of the summer I am much cooler in skirts than I am in shorts. Which means that I have lots of summer skirts to wear, and only 2 pairs of shorts. This week the twins have Cub Scout camp and I signed up as a volunteer. Skirts don't really work at Cub Scout camp. So off to the thrift store I went to find some cute shorts.I was excited when I found three pairs, and I … [Read more...]

Toes

Mine is sitting there on the table. I picked three coordinating fabrics, a striped print, an argyle print, and some brown corduroy. I made a pattern out of cardboard (not pictured) and traced it to cut out my … [Read more...]

June 19, 2012 by Julie Leave a Comment

Missed the Live Pinterest week explanation? Click here Coming up with a mason jar craft was a windy road for me. Initially I wanted to make a mason jar drinking glass like I saw here. In fact, I had it be the first make something Monday craft I did with the twins. But they are never happy with keeping anything simple. Beyond picking a fabric for their lid and painting the rim a color they … [Read more...]
