This little boy keeps me on my toes
(nope, I have no idea why he’s trying to bite his foot)
The toddler and I had a rather eventful weekend. It started when he learned how to hide from me. He’s hidden before, but his giggling always gave him away. (Usually under his bed.) But on Friday morning he hid from me quietly. I quickly realized it was too quiet in the house and went looking for him. When I couldn’t find him I started to panic. (This little boy knows how to open doors.) Finally youngest twin found him hiding in the curtains in our living room with a big grin on his face. My poor heart.
Not too much later I was in the family room with the one of the twins and I could hear him in the kitchen (the rooms are right next to each other). Suddenly he started crying and came running to me. I’m not sure what he did but he seems to have given himself another black eye. (At least it’s the other eye than last time?)
That afternoon we went with my Mom to Putt-Putt and the kids all had fun playing arcade games. When we were done we went through a drive-through (Braum’s) to get some dinner. I love their cherry limeades, so that’s what I got to drink. We ate our food at home and when my drink was done the toddler wanted to eat the cherry. So I gave it to him. He started choking on it and I put my hands out so he would spit it out into my hands. I got a little more than I bargained for when he threw up on me.
After getting us both cleaned up I was tired. Thankfully so was he. He brought me his blanket and crawled up into my lap and fell asleep.

Bless you. I seem to have days like that every so often (different details, but a bunch of overwhelming stuff all in the same day). When it rains it pours, I guess. I’m glad you’re all ok.

Thanks. I’m definitely glad that not everyday is that crazy.
