Harry Potter, Hermione, and Hogwarts

October 23, 2014 by Julie 1 Comment

a little throwback Thursday with Youngest Twin wearing a Gryffindor scarf  Some books and movies just seem to fit with certain seasons. For me, Harry Potter is required fall/winter weather watching material. It's probably the fabulous scarves and hats. My sisters started me on the Harry Potter obsession. They read the books first and then loaned me their copies to read. (I have since purchased … [Read more...]

Yarn Pom Pom Ornaments

October 22, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

I am beyond excited to be a vendor at the Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash on November 15th. This handmade show is one of the best around. And one of the advantages to being a vendor is that I get to contribute items to the much coveted Bash Bags! If you're not familiar (or local) Bash Bags are given out to the first 50 customers in line when the doors open. People line up hours early for a chance … [Read more...]

The Cowtown Indie Bazaar Handmade Holidays event is just under two months away. And my teammates and I are in full craft show prep mode. This weekend we got together to eat pizza, drink sodas, gab, and do some screen printing. We made t-shirts with our North Texas M.A.D.E. logo for all of our show volunteers. And we screen printed 40 bags with our Cowtown Indie Bazaar logo. These lucky … [Read more...]

DIY Kid Friendly Ghosts

October 15, 2014 by Julie 9 Comments

How handy that we could make ghosts for our letter G activity this week? We made two variations of these friendly ghosts. First a simple popsicle stick ghost. And the second started the same as the first with the addition of a bunch of tissue paper squares glued on the top. Then we used a cotton ball dipped in black paint to add the faces. This was great because it was simple enough for … [Read more...]
