Strawberry Banana Bread Recipe

July 30, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

I generally try to make sure the house is in order before we take a trip anywhere. (Coming home to a dirty house is kind of a bummer.) The laundry gets done before we leave (I will need clean clothes to pack). I also try to make sure the leftovers in the fridge and any produce get eaten so they don't spoil/get wasted while we are away. The desire to not let any fruit go to waste is directly … [Read more...]

Color-block Crochet Bag

July 29, 2014 by Julie 2 Comments

A vacation is the perfect reason to crochet a new bag. The kids and I are headed for a Texas history vacation with my Mom. Feel beauty with this Sand Dollar Sugar Cookies Recipe Crafts often inspire snacks. Yesterday's crochet anchors (here) led to today's sand dollar sugar cookies. I'm trying to get the kids excited about our upcoming trip. Sugar cookie dough topped with slivered almonds to make them look like sugar cookies. And while I almost always make my own sugar cookie dough, the refrigerated slice and … [Read more...]

Crochet Anchors Away

July 22, 2014 by Julie 16 Comments

Crochet Anchors Away We've got a trip to the beach planned before the summer is over and I've got all things nautical on the brain. These crochet anchors were really quick to make up and add a fun touch of summer decor. I made two anchors in each color from this pattern and then I stitched them together to make them a little more substantial. I'm planning to attach fun anchor quotes … [Read more...]
