Feel beauty with this Sand Dollar Sugar Cookies Recipe
Crafts often inspire snacks. Yesterday’s crochet anchors (here) led to today’s sand dollar sugar cookies. I’m trying to get the kids excited about our upcoming trip.
Sugar cookie dough topped with slivered almonds to make them look like sugar cookies. And while I almost always make my own sugar cookie dough, the refrigerated slice and bake dough was on sale at the grocery store. Slice, top with almonds, bake, and eat. And the kids got to help place the almonds. Doesn’t get any easier.
The cookies were perfect to eat while playing some games. During our most recent camping trip to Big Bend National Park we taught Littlest Brother how to play Uno. He knows his colors and his numbers so it is a game where can play (mostly) by himself. The hardest time he has is trying to hold all the cards in his hand at the same time.
What games do you and your kids like to play?
Those are so cute! They would be great for a beach-themed party. I’m pinning them now. ๐
Thanks, Lara! Yes! I think they would be perfect for a beach-themed party.
So easy and sounds yummy!
Thanks, Valerie! They were easy and delicious! The almonds added some great flavor ๐
Very cute! They look yummy! I keep wanting to visit Big Bend, but for some reason whenever we get into the car, we seem to drive North or East.
Big Bend is incredible! This summer was my first time to visit but I’m already looking forward to going back.
