American History Road Trip

June 25, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and Walmart Family Mobile. All opinions are mine alone. #Save4Summer #CollectiveBias Yesterday I mentioned that we just got back from a week long vacation. My husband is a history buff and he planned our whole trip along the Natchez Trace Parkway. We started at mile 1 in Natchez, Mississippi and drove the entire 444 mile parkway, … [Read more...]

Exercise

October 2, 2014 by Julie 1 Comment

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. Since it's been over a month I'm hoping that means that my exercise routine has become a habit. And I've already learned lots of things. I Dip, You Dip, We Salsa Dip

September 25, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

Homeschool lessons don't always go according to plan. I know. You're shocked. Homemade Biscuits with Chili and Eggs

September 11, 2014 by Julie 6 Comments

I think we all have dishes that we are better at making than others. The ones we bring out for potlucks and parties. Personally, I make pretty amazing homemade buttermilk biscuits. I like to think it's because I'm a Texas girl. My Mom taught me how to make homemade biscuits. Her Mom (my Nana) made homemade biscuits. Her Mom made homemade biscuits. And probably further back than that. They aren't … [Read more...]

School is back in session

August 27, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

Our first week back to school and we are working on finding our groove. Oldest Twin is working on the regions of Texas and early Texas history. We've also spent a lot of time talking about all the different types of pronouns (subject, object, possessive, interrogative, demonstrative, indefinite, you get the point). We started a new math curriculum. We're taking on Pre-Algebra this year. We've … [Read more...]
