It might not be the trendiest around (okay, I know it’s not), but over the past few years I’ve realized that I have definitely honed by own style. I think the reality really hit home when my sister sent me a text message saying she felt like she was dressed like me. One look at the picture, and yep. It was definitely something I could have been wearing at that moment.
Year round my most worn shoes are one of my many pairs of ballet flats. Comfy and with an assortment of colors they go with everything. They clearly are called ‘Mom shoes’ for a reason.
If I’m wearing a pair of jeans (fall/winter/spring) I love to pair the flats with a pair of fun socks. My sock collection is ever growing. Stripes, polka dots, solid colors, a keep calm carry on pair, even a pair with a map of the London Underground.
My number one jewelry accessory year round is a great pair of earrings. My very favorite gold earrings are from Heidy Henke Designs
Because everything relates to Gilmore Girls, Paris Geller said it best, “I know one thing about the modern teenager. That you can get them to buy anything as long as it comes in a leopard print.”
For me, it’s not a leopard print, but you can get me to buy almost anything with a knit/crochet/yarn print.
Like this crocheted dress
Or these Colorful Yarn Nail Stickers
Maybe a knit print shoulder bag
Plus a variety of knit tights, like these fair isle tights or these cable sweater tights. (Patterned tights are one of my Sunday style staples, along with a pencil skirt.)
You can even get Granny Squares print fabric and make your own yarn-y creations
Now, I don’t own all of these items (yet) but I do keep my eye out for fun knitting related accessories.
What are your style staples?

Oh my gosh. You love “Gilmore Girls”. If I had had a girl, I wanted to name her Lorelai. My husband, not so much :).

Yes, I am a Gilmore Girl addict and quote it all the time! No girls for me either, but Lorelai is such a pretty name.

I think my style may actually be an absence of style… I’m never wear any accessories, and my outfits are like 3 colors max… Simple. Minimalist.

Minimalist is a style. There are definitely clothes I see at the store that remind me of you. You love bold colored pants and tops with patterns (stripes/plaid) 🙂
