Catch a Wave Pool Party Summer Crochet Bunting

June 23, 2017 by Julie Leave a Comment

Throwing a pool party this summer? Grab a crochet hook and make this wave inspired Pool Party Summer Crochet Bunting as part of your party decor.

Catch a wave, Pool Party Summer Crochet Bunting

The ultimate vacation question, are you a beach person or a mountain person? I’m a beach person married to a mountain person. Which means that sometimes we go to the beach for vacation and sometimes not. This year is sometimes not. Our summer vacation this year will be up north to the mountains.

Beach or no beach summer is the perfect time to enjoy the water. Tonight the big kids are headed to a pool party with their youth group. Littlest is jealous. He has a hard time when the big kids get to do things without him. Sadly we don’t have our own pool at our apartment, but we can have a little pool party fun, minus the actual pool, all summer long. Basically that means just getting wet.

Living downtown there is actually a water feature just a few blocks away that you can play in during certain hours. We can walk down there, get soaking wet, and then walk home. Getting soaked in the fountain helps the walk home feel a lot cooler than the walk to the fountain.

Water gun fights are another great way to cool off without a pool. You’ll need to stay hydrated while you cool off, and these fruit infused sparking water drinks are perfect for a hot summer day.

Whether you are hosting an actual pool party or just a let’s get wet afternoon, this wave inspired crochet bunting pattern makes a great party decor addition. I started with blue crochet triangles and then added a white bobble edging to two of the sides. You can make the bunting as long or as short as you want by changing how many triangles you make.
