I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! I know that I did.
Friday night my nephew celebrated his 1st birthday! And this non-sewing girl tried some actual applique. I picked the red and white fabric because I thought it looked patriotic, which I thought would be fitting for his July birthday.
His Mom seemed really happy with it and he looked adorable in it yesterday.
Saturday was the parade, but I was worried about the rain so I chose to stay with the baby and sit at our table at the Downtown Farmers Market.
The market happens to be right near the parade route, though, and so there was a big rush of customers after the parade was over.
Saturday night my husband and I walked downtown with the baby and enjoyed the 2nd annual Light Up Arlington celebration. There were some fun street performers, a good concert, and great fireworks. The baby didn’t fuss at all when they started. His eyes just got really big as he watched the show with the rest of us.
I hope that everyone enjoyed their 4th! I’m going to do some more celebrating with a BBQ and some baseball today.
