Crochet Octopus Applique

July 12, 2010 by Julie 3 Comments

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about this flower onesie. I talked about how excited I was to take something popular, like applique, and make it mine. Well, today I happy to show you something I’ve been working on for little boys!

I just can’t decide if he’s done or not. Does he need a little face? Or is he good as is? Opinions?

I love to crochet! What a great way to spruce up a simple shirt! I just started a link party and I would LOVE it if you’d consider adding your crafts to it! I’m having flower headband giveaway as part of our first party too!

He’s hilarious! I’d add some safety eyes and a little embroidered smile to him. (You could also embroider the eyes.)
If you visit me, you’ll see I’m working on a baby afghan that will have a crocheted snail applique in the corner. My grand nephew has a ‘woodland’ theme in his room. But can’t you just see the octopus on a light blue afghan for a room with a beach/seaside theme? How cute is that?

Cute! I think eyes would be adorable!
