How to Make a Modern Hoop Wreath

Supplies

  • Wire wreath frame
  • Wood slices
  • Floral stems
  • Eucalyptus stems
  • Felt balls in multi colors

Modern Hoop Wreath

Start with your wire wreath frame. If you’re ordering a frame get one that just has two wires around.

However, if you’re like me and you already have a wreath but it has more than two wires, for example four, then grab a pair of wire cutters. I snipped by wire wreath in half and then trimmed them down as close as I could. This created two wreaths each with two wires, one smaller and one larger. I used the larger size as the base for my modern wreath.

Once I had my wire wreath base the next step was to add my wood slices. Use hot glue to attach four wood slices to your wreath. The wood slices take up one quarter of the total wreath.

Once the wood slices are hot glued on, the next step is to add the felt balls. These felt balls are about 1 inch so they fit nicely between the two wires on the wreath base.  Add a dab of hot glue to each wire and attach the felt ball.

I picked a pattern for the felt balls and added them to each side of the wood slices.

The last step is to add the floral and eucalyptus stems. Attach the greenery first and then the flowers on top with more hot glue.
