Happy New Year! Only 1 of my boys made it to midnight last night (the other two almost did). We indulged in an all day movie marathon for New Years Eve. Then at midnight, those who were awake, shared a toast, popped some crackers, and watched the fireworks out of our windows.

For the past few (several?) years I have shared some of my favorite handmade finds from indie makers each Friday. I began because I wanted to find a way to support fellow handmade artists. As I found shops and makers that I enjoyed I would pick a few of my favorites to share each Friday. The format for the posts changed over the years, but ran the longest as my Fresh Finds post. The last one that I shared was Fresh Finds #122. Of course I will still be supporting indie makers through my work with North Texas MADE and the local events that we produce. But as much as I have loved those Fresh Finds posts, this year I’m ready to start something new.

I’m tentatively calling them Freebie Fridays. My goal will be that each Friday newsletter subscribers will get something fun from me in their email. Since today is Friday, and the first one of the new year, I’m sharing a January 2016 Desktop Calendar to use as the wallpaper on your computer.
