lovev8protein tips

A couple of months ago I started a 5K program. I’m a person who likes list and goals. I wanted a healthy kickstart and I thought a regimented program was a good way to get me back into the exercising habit. It definitely worked! And I’m on track to participate in a 5K as part of my birthday celebrations in February.

But the holidays can get a little tricky. I really want to stick to my healthier lifestyle habits. I was excited to find out about these new V8 protein bars and shakes. They even helped inspire me to create my own healthy holiday tips.

lovev8protein get moving

Get moving! I do best when I exercise first thing in the morning. Wake up, grab my shoes, and my gym bag, and get out the door. I also have a pretty extensive collection on exercise DVD’s if I can’t actually get out the door to exercise. I still get my shoes on and the music going. Take a little time each day to get active.

Refuel! Refueling goes hand in hand with the exercising. It’s important to make good-for-you choices when it comes to what you’re eating (especially this time of year). The V8 protein shakes contain protein from milk, soy, pea, brown rice, and quinoa. Plus veggies from sweet potatoes and carrots. They are sweetened with honey, brown rice syrup, and sugar. They contain 12g of protein and 3g of fiber. I grabbed some shakes and some V8 protein bars in the health and beauty aisle at Walmart.

The last tip for a healthy holiday is to take time to relax! My husband and I got all dressed up a couple of weekends ago to attend his annual military dinner. It was great to put on a fancy dress and go on a dressy date together.

There are 6 flavor options across the bars and shakes, so it’s easy to pick the right flavor for you. The bars are easy to stash in your gym bag or purse for an on the go boost.
