Cowtown Indie Bazaar 2014

December 15, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

The Cowtown Indie Bazaar 2014 Handmade Holidays is literally in the bag. That would be in the customers shopping bags. We had some incredible volunteers that helped us put it all together. And there were shoppers were lined up for several hours before the show even started for a chance to snag one of the 40 goody bags filled with handmade items from some of our vendors. (Those would be some of the 40 goody bags on my arms there. Hanging out with our North Texas M.A.D.E. sleigh.)

We had several local musicians perform, including my sister Lauren of course. She performed with a friend of hers, and their duets were gorgeous. One of our volunteers coordinated all of the musicians and it was fun to be serenaded by great music while we shopped.

We also had some fabulous sponsors for our event this year, including Silly Monkey Photo Booths that provided a free photo booth! My sister Lauren and I definitely had fun with our pictures (you can see them here).

And Oriental Trading Company sent us a box full of goodies for our make and take table. A whole assortment of fun holiday crafts! A local Girl Scout troop were the volunteers that organized the table and helped with demonstrations during the event.

And the Cowtown Indie Bazaar vendors were seriously amazing. I was blown away with the quality of everything that people had in their booths. From gorgeous leather handbags to quirky note cards, and everything in between.

The whole weekend felt like whirlwind. But in a good way. I got to spend it surrounded by other makers and promoting the handmade community. And now the 2015 Cowtown Indie Bazaar is now just a year away!
