Dress Shirt Gift Wrap

I walked into my kitchen the other morning completely exhausted. Staring at the kitchen light switch I couldn’t remember which one turned on the light and which one was for the garbage disposal. And that’s how tired I was when I woke up.

On the other hand, I can still remember the scent of the first perfume that I bought for myself. Sweet and fruity. Certain fragrances take me back to all kinds of different memories, from people I was with to places we went. Do you remember picking out your first perfume or cologne? Now I have a few favorites that I move between. I have an everyday scent and then something a little more special for date nights.

The twins turned 14 this fall and are just at the beginning of their journey in picking out their signature scent. I decided to help them out a little.

Shopping for three kids, plus everyone else on my list, can get a little busy. Add in parties, concerts, and other events and the holidays get really hectic really fast. Trying to find the perfect gift for everyone can be stressful, thankfully Coty Holiday Gift Sets bring ease to gift buying. While doing some holiday shopping at Walgreens I picked up a Nautica Blue Fragrance Gift Set.

I had such a good trying out reusable gift wrap this year, I decide to try something new to wrap the cologne gift for the twins. Teenage boys aren’t always that excited about getting clothes for Christmas. Shocker. Rather than having them open a gift to find clothes inside, I wrapped their gift with a dress shirt.

Placing the gift set in the middle of the shirt I folded the collar and bottom of the shirt towards me. I took a couple of minutes to tuck in the sides.

Then I flipped the package over and tied the sleeves together in the front. For a little added bonus I added a neck tie.

Would you rather gift the cologne out of its box? Just use a dress shirt sleeve. I took an old dress shirt that Littlest had outgrown (so toddler size) and cut the sleeve off. I hot glued the cut portion of the sleeve together and placed the cologne inside. Tie the sleeve with some jute and fold down the cuff.

A new fun way to wrap gifts and the boys are going to look, and smell, great.

Cute! I had no idea you could fold a shirt that way!

BEST intro to a post ever. I have definitely been there before with sleep exhaustion, but you make a valid point about memory. [client]

How great to use a gift to wrap an other gift! Using a useful item as a wrapping. Much better than paper that will find its way to the garbage.

I love this idea. My husband needs new shirts and ties desperately. I may run out today and get him some.
