Doughnut Date

Thanks to Krispy Kreme for inspiring a daytime Doughnut Date and discovering a sweet treat with someone special #DeliciouslyInseparable

In case you haven’t noticed, I love Valentine’s Day. I like to say it’s because February is also my birthday month. With hearts and pink and red all around me I might as well embrace the month long celebrating. But what you might not know is I also love to keep the celebrations relatively simple. Cute cards for the kids to share with their friends. Sweet notes to girlfriends. And something to satisfy my sweet tooth from my husband.

Dates are usually relegated to the evening. Date nights. But what about a daytime date? And a daytime date that includes doughnuts? Yes, please! For our daytime doughnut date we headed to Krispy Kreme. We picked up a white variety of sweets, some for us and some to take back home to the kids. (Because telling your teenagers that you’re going to get doughnuts without them might end up with mutiny.)

Our daytime date wasn’t long, but it was a nice way to get a minute away together. Seize the moment and seize a doughnut at the same time.

I had to pick up some of their heart shaped doughnuts to match all the other heart shaped crafting that’s happening at my house this month, from foam conversation heart stickers to plenty of knit and crochet hearts getting stitched.
