Recycle or Upcycle for Earth Day

April 22, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

Happy Earth Day! To celebrate I wanted to share some of my favorite upcycled projects. I loved the way these bud vases, made from nail polish bottles, turned out. DIY Mini Bud Vases Have an old t-shirt you can't wear anymore? Turn it into a headband (perfect for spring/summer weather.) Easter Egg Hunt for Older Kids

April 1, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

I have a confession. I typically don't hide candy in my kids Easter eggs. In fact, I typically don't put anything in them. I have taken this course for a few reasons. You can't hide eggs in the hardboiled ones that we color. And, on more than one occasion, ants have found their way into candy filled plastic eggs. Which is really no fun. We've got a pink bunny, blue bird, and yellow chick/duck. I divided up the various candy by color. … [Read more...]

I asked all of my guests to bring a book (or more) that they were done reading and that they wanted to swap for a new book (or books). I didn't have any rules regarding the books, any genres were welcome. We piled all the books on my coffee table and then enjoyed some snacks and chatting … [Read more...]

I Love You Because – DIY + Free Valentine Printable

January 20, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

My Valentine's Day mason jars needed a new printable to go along with them. Sometimes my boys fight. I know you're shocked. And recently Littlest asked me why one particular brother had to be a part of our family. I thought I would take the opportunity for the next month to try to get the boys to think about things that they like each other. If only briefly. Enter the … [Read more...]
