Mother’s Day Yarn Bomb

May 5, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

I crocheted a couple dozen flowers. Added button centers. And attached them to green wooden stakes with floral wire. (I shared some of my yarn bomb preparation HERE.) I put the kids and the flowers in the car and we headed off to deliver our Mother's Day yarn bomb. We left groupings of flowers all over my Mom's and my Mother-in-law's front yard. Mainly I let Littlest put the flowers wherever … [Read more...]

The Avengers: Age of Ultron Role Play, Snacks, and a DIY

I'm doing a combination of crochet red poppy-like flowers and some pink crocheted flowers. Each flower is crocheted and then I … [Read more...]

April 23, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

We like bright bold colors at my house. My husband studied interior design and we don't necessarily have a traditional color scheme going on. My living room is home to an orange couch. I can't always find accessories in the right colors to match what we already have. Being able to personalized items is one of my favorite things about knitting or creating, so I was really … [Read more...]

Recycle or Upcycle for Earth Day

April 22, 2015 by Julie Leave a Comment

Happy Earth Day! To celebrate I wanted to share some of my favorite upcycled projects. I loved the way these bud vases, made from nail polish bottles, turned out. DIY Mini Bud Vases Have an old t-shirt you can't wear anymore? Turn it into a headband (perfect for spring/summer weather.) Upcycled No-Sew Knotted T-Shirt Headband A fun container I made for Littlest so he could carry … [Read more...]
