Always Seek Knowledge ASK Yarn Bomb

August 28, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

Back to School Always Seek Knowledge Yarn Bomb At the beginning of the year I picked a word for 2014. That word was 'shine'. To share that word I made a 'shine' yarn bomb (which you can see HERE). One of my goals that went along with my word of the year was to share more yarn art. So what better way to share our school motto for the year than with an ASK yarn bomb! ASK stands for … [Read more...]

Crochet Heart Coin Purse

August 13, 2014 by Julie 3 Comments

I'm always excited to try out new patterns. A couple of weeks ago a friend asked me to make a custom crochet heart coin purse for her daughter. We went with a blue/teal heart with bright pink edging. I love how cute it turned out. (And I believe the recipient was pleased with it as well!) The heart is made in two pieces and then joined together. One of the hearts has the slit in it which is … [Read more...]

Color-block Crochet Bag

July 29, 2014 by Julie 2 Comments

A vacation is the perfect reason to crochet a new bag. The kids and I are headed for a Texas history vacation with my Mom. I used a 3.75mm crochet hook for my bag. I also went a tan and lime green color block … [Read more...]

Crochet Anchors Away

July 22, 2014 by Julie 16 Comments

Crochet Anchors Away We've got a trip to the beach planned before the summer is over and I've got all things nautical on the brain. These crochet anchors were really quick to make up and add a fun touch of summer decor. I made two anchors in each color from this pattern and then I stitched them together to make them a little more substantial. I'm planning to attach fun anchor quotes … [Read more...]

Tie Dye Crochet Scarf

June 25, 2014 by Julie 10 Comments

This one was a new challenge. I had a customer ask me to create a tie dye crochet scarf for her daughter. Once I found this multi-colored yarn I knew it was the perfect thing. Bonus, the yarn is incredibly soft. The second step to creating a "tie dye" crochet scarf was to find the right pattern. I think the swirls in this shell pattern recreates the tie dye look amazingly. Want your own … [Read more...]
