Pinterest Fab or Fail: Food Edition

August 27, 2015 by Julie 14 Comments

I like to eat. So it shouldn't be a surprise that many of the things I try on Pinterest are recipes. While some of them turn out great, some, well, don't. Here's just a few of my favorite Pinterest recipes attempts that I'm calling Pinterest Fab or Pinterest Fail. So when I go shopping, I go with purpose and I go swiftly. At this point in my life, I have a fairly specific style which could be described as minimal and simple and hopefully also … [Read more...]

War Against Caffeine (or rather, why I love caffeine)

August 19, 2015 by Julie 4 Comments

I am not naturally a morning person. My preferred sleeping habits firmly place me as a night owl. This makes summer time is blissful. No consequences for staying up late. The kids and I can theoretically sleep as late as we chose. Of course there is a 5 year old who doesn't want to sleep too late. In Fort Worth middle school doesn't start until 9:20. That means that they don't get out until 4:20. … [Read more...]
