This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Natalie Hodson, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #abscorepelvicfloor http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
Whether you are 6 weeks postpartum or 20 years, Abs, Core & Pelvic Floor will help with the “mom pooch” as well as other common issues associated with post-pregnancy mom-bods.
The first few years after the twins were born I joked a lot about how my body, especially my core, never felt the same. I was so happy when I learned that it doesn’t matter if it’s been awhile since I had a baby, 15 years or so since I had these twins, I can still heal my core thanks to the Abs, Core & Pelvic Floor Program from Natalie Hodson and Dr. Monique Middlekauff
Having twins, while wonderful, was also a fairly traumatic experience. I was on bed rest, they were premature, they spent some time in the NICU, then they came home on heart and breathing monitors as well as several medications each. My life was run by charts and schedules. On top of all of that I went back to work full time when they were just 6 weeks old.
I tried various exercise programs over the years but never loved how my abdomen looked after having twins. A few times I tried to start running but it was uncomfortable and felt like everything was moving around inside and nothing was where it was supposed to be. Then I had Littlest and the Mom pooch became even more pronounced. I started having nerve pain and other symptoms related to having a weak core. I even had a doctor tell me that I needed to do more sit-ups to alleviate my symptoms.
But while doing sit-ups and other traditional core workouts like planks I kept noticing that my abdomen just looked wrong. When I stood up and flexed I could be happy with the muscle I could see developing. But while doing the exercises it would mound up in the middle and I just kept thinking that something wasn’t right. Finally I opened up and starting asking friends about their symptoms and experiences. And that’s when I finally heard the words Diastasic Recti and pelvic floor issues.
And that’s when I learned that if you suffer from Diastasis Recti there are exercises, like planks and sit-ups, that you should not be doing. While I am proud of my body post pregnancy, I know that a gap in my abs can have very real symptoms that I am not fond of.
The Abs, Core & Pelvic Floor Program was written by personal trainer Natalie Hodson and Dr. Monique Middlekauff – a specialist in pelvic floor dysfunction. The 30 day program helps to heal Diastasis Recti, (also a cause of that “mommy pooch” in the lower abdomen), as well as incontinence related to pelvic floor weakness and dysfunction.
I love that the program and exercises can be done on the floor at my home. In addition to the printable program you can also gain access to videos to further assist in understanding the exercises and how to engage each muscle. I like that I can watch the videos at the start of each week to make sure I know how to do each movement and then just work from the PDF on my iPad or the sheets I printed out.
The Abs, Core & Pelvic Floor Program has lots of educational material to help explain the causes of Diastasis Recti and how to heal.

Thanks, Skye! I hope you get a chance to try the program! I didn’t know that you weren’t supposed to do planks either. I learned so much with this program and I’m so excited with the results I’m getting now.
