If you would have told my 16-year-old self that someday her annoying/adorable younger sisters would someday be her best friends I’m not sure she would have believed you. There are some pretty big age gaps between my sisters and me. While there are only 3 of us, our ages span over a decade. Which meant when I was younger I did a lot of babysitting. But now that we are all adults my sisters have become my best friends. And, luckily for us, we all live near each other and are able to spend a lot of time together. And one of our favorite activities might be eating together.
My sisters and I sometimes joke that we share a brain. And, that our collective IQ goes down when we are all together. We often have the same tastes in clothes and entertainment and we definitely have the same sense of humor. We’ve gone on a vacation before where we all packed separately, traveled separately, stayed in separate rooms, and still managed to dress alike on consecutive days throughout our trip. We get mistaken for each other. I’ve even shown up to an event wearing the exact same sweater as one of my sisters, who was also there, without knowing she had also purchased that sweater.
Now that 2/3 of us have kids I think we appreciate our time a little more. And if we’re all getting together to eat I want a meal that tastes great, but that I can put together quickly so I’m spending more time talking and less time cooking. I’ve discovered another time saving tip for getting dinner on the table and that’s Instacart. Order your groceries online and have them delivered to your door. And I’ve got a treat for you, in honor of National Friendship Day Skinner® pasta is partnering with Instacart to provide free grocery delivery for customers in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. Just buy one (that’s 1) package of Skinner pasta and get free grocery delivery! Don’t qualify for free delivery? That’s ok! Customers who don’t qualify for free delivery will receive $5 off their order. (Delivery must be $35 or more to qualify for free delivery or $5 off.)
I ordered all the ingredients I needed to make this Peanut Noodles pasta dish, even the produce, and had them delivered to my door in about an hour. Saving a trip to the grocery store can be huge when you’ve got a busy schedule or if you just need a few things and can’t run one more errand.

If you’re looking for a quick meal to share with your friends, or family that are your friends, this Peanut Noodles dish is versatile, only uses about 5 ingredients, and can be made in less than 30 minutes. The Skinner pasta gets cooked in chicken broth rather than water to punch up the flavor. Then it gets tossed with peanut butter, soy sauce, crushed peanuts, and sliced green onions. That’s about it!
- 24 oz Skinner Pasta Thin Spaghetti
- 10 cups chicken stock
- 5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 5 Tbsp peanut butter
- Crushed peanuts (optional)
- Sliced green onions (optional)
- Sriracha (optional, to taste)
- Cook noodles in chicken stock for 9 minutes, until al dente
- Drain off most of the liquid
- Add soy sauce and peanut butter. Mix well.
- Add crushed peanuts and sliced green onions.
