A sweet weekend

April 28, 2014 by Julie 8 Comments

This weekend was full of sweet moments. Both figuratively and literally.

I was able to attend a wedding reception for a good friend. Where they served some amazing cobbler.

A bon voyage party for my beautiful sister-in-law who is moving away. Where I drank a chocolate milkshake.

A painting party for my youngest sisters new apartment. Where we grabbed lunch at one of our favorite places.

And a date night with my husband where we each tried a new treat.

Not a bad weekend. Well, except for the part where my sister-in-law moves away. I’m not a fan of that.

Today I’m sharing my final April Blogger of the Month guest blog post over at Texas Women Bloggers. I’m talking all about showers. And I’ve got a couple of printables that I’m sharing.

I’m also participating in a giveaway (which you can enter below!)

Thanks, Ronda! She’s moving to be close to her husbands family, but I will miss her tons.

Thank goodness for cell phones and the internet when people move. It’s not the same, but sometimes you really need a 2-hour conversation with someone and the long-distance bills used to be killer.

Yes, I am thankful for cell phones and no long distance. I already told her to start expecting a lot more text messages from me.

I honestly was a little disappointed with my cupcake. It was really dry 🙁 But I have friends who love it so I’ll probably give it a second try.
