My phone is my primary camera. Over Thanksgiving break we took a (very) quick trip to the beach. Every single picture was taken with my phone. And while that makes it easy to share the photos on social media, it’s not always the preferred method of viewing photos by the kids grandparents.
There’s Littlest holding on to his kite while he watches the waves. This is possibly my favorite photo from our trip.
And while I did share that beach photo on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, I know that a couple of grandmothers would love to have an actual physical copy of the photo.
So I grabbed a HP Deskjet 3632 All-in-One Printer/Copier/Scanner on my latest trip to Walmart, along with some HP photo print paper. It took way less than 5 minutes to set up the printer (Littlest even helped). And now I can print photos directly from my phone. I even connected my Google Drive account. Beach photo selected and printed. Problem solved.
With photo printing so simple I put together a 2016 photo calendar. Photo on the top, dates underneath, and the month written across the middle. I made a calendar for each set of grandparents as one of their Christmas gifts. (Here’s the template I used as a JPEG or PSD file.)
I figure a calendar with pictures of their grandkids is surely a winning present. I printed each month on a separate 5×7 piece of photo paper. Original HP ink prints twice as many high quality prints as generic ink so there wasn’t any problem printing all the pages I needed for my gifts. And a few extras.
While I was at Walmart I also found this photo magnet sleeves that perfectly fit a 5×7 photo (they had other sizes as well). Each month they can slide in the photo for that month and place it on their refrigerator. I’m also including a desk stand (the one in the first picture) if they prefer to set up their calendar that way.
Here’s how the whole year looks.

My mom loved calenders, she uses them everyday so I like to make her one for christmas every year with the photos my brother and I have taken over the year. She loves it.

This is a beautiful photo calendar! I was thinking of doing the same thing for my parents and my husband’s mother. I think they’d love to see a different picture of the kids each month. HP makes these projects so simple! #client

I downloaded your files and I don’t know if it’s just me, but it only comes with the November calendar. How do I edit it to make the entire year?
