I am very solidly a cat person. I got my very first cat when I was in high school. He was a black and white cat named Hunter. Other than a few months when my husband and I first got married, I’ve had at least one cat ever since.

We currently have two cats, a tabby named Ranger and a calico cat named Coco. We adopted them both as kittens, Coco is now 8 going on 9 and Ranger just turned 6.

I like to joke that I think Ranger thinks he’s a dog most days. He loves when people comes over and goes to the door to greet guests. He rubs against their legs, jumps in their laps, and wants everyone to say hi to him.

Coco was obsessed with Littlest when he was a baby. When he would cry she would rush to his crib and get up on her back legs to look at him. She’d curl up next to me when I fed him and I would always find her napping in his car seat after I would take him out of it.

In January, Oldest Twin and I joined the gym and have been going regularly since. It might be cliche to join a gym at the beginning of the year, but it is when we are all thinking about it.

Something else people often think about to stay healthy is completing a detox. But what about your pet? I teamed up with Supreme Source® Pet Food to try a 10-Day Pet Detox. I headed to my local Albertson’s to pick up a bag of cat food for my two cats. Just like going to the gym improves my mind and body, I’m looking forward to this pet detox and seeing improvement in my cats in just ten days.

I even picked up a bag of dog food for my parents dog. Since we live so close to each other I wanted Chief to take part in the challenge as well. My kids are lucky that in addition to having cats at our house, we can also go play with my parents’ dog whenever we want.

This spring, if you want to improve your pet’s mind, body and soul in just ten days, visit www.superfoodswitch.com for a free bag of Supreme Source® pet food. Our cats do a lot for us. When my husband was deployed to Iraq our cats would come and sleep with me in bed every night to keep me company. They’d lounge with me on the couch while I watched TV and then when it was bedtime they followed me upstairs. Even now they move around during the night taking turns in various beds. Though now my husband is their favorite. Our cat Coco loves to climb in his lap when he sits on the couch. She reaches her paw up to his face to get his attention and tell him she wants to be petted.

When our pets do such a good job entertaining and loving us, it’s our job to do our best to take care of them. Visit the 10-day detox site to sign up!
