Let your guests create their own perfect waffle sandwich with a Waffle Bar at your next gathering! Here are 3 different Waffle Bar Sandwiches for you to try.
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and I enjoy it any time of the day. When I found out that Eggo was sending out a Waffle Bar Truck to 200 locations over the next 100+ days (that’s now through September) I knew I needed to make a visit. The Waffle Truck was easy to spot out in front of Walmart and the options for toppings were pretty endless. It inspired me to create my own Waffle Bar for a gathering at home! Make sure to visit the Waffle Truck locater to see when it will be stopping at a location near you!
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and I enjoy it any time of the day. Breakfast for lunch, breakfast for dinner, I will eat breakfast whenever it happens to be served. With my sisters birthday coming up it was the perfect opportunity to try out a waffle bar. Supply your guests with a variety of ingredients and let them put together a waffle bar sandwich. These waffles are savory and perfect for a brunch or lunch get together.
I got inspired with a sweet and savory waffle at the Waffle Bar Truck, I tried chicken and waffles topped with fresh fruit and syrup.
For my own Waffle Bar I picked up some Kellogg’s® Eggo® Homestyle Waffles, Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter, Banquet® Brown’N Serve™ Original Sausage Link, and Hungry Jack® Original Syrup that I got at Walmart.
I used all of those ingredients, plus a few more to create a Waffle Sandwich Bar!
Delicious News! Eggo waffles now have no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources.
Lay out all your ingredients for your waffle bar and let your guests create something original. To get you started I created three different waffle sandwiches for you to try.
My first creation is inspired by a Monte Cristo sandwich. Here I used Kellogg’s® Eggo® Thick & Fluffy Original, sliced ham, swiss cheese, and jam. Assemble the sandwich and then dip it in Hungry Jack Original Syrup.
Sandwich number two is a sausage, egg, and cheese waffle sandwich. I used Kellogg’s® Eggo® Homestyle and Banquet® Brown’N Serve™ Original Sausage Links. I cut the sausage links in half after cooking them and placed them on the waffle. Top with a fried egg and slice of cheddar cheese.
Sandwich number three has options! Here I’m taking a peanut butter sandwich and adding in some different toppings. Choose from a friend egg, bacon, and fresh slices of avocado.
Layer your peanut butter sandwich with one of the other items or all three.
Having all of the sandwich ingredients spread out in your waffle bar lets your guests pick and choose to come up with their own waffle sandwich creations.
If you have a panini press you can get that out to quickly melt the cheese on some of your sandwiches like the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. You could also use a toaster oven.
Speaking of toasters, I also recommend keeping the toaster handy. I toasted up a few waffles to get started but then kept cooking more and people were eating.
Get inspired by the Waffle Bar Truck! Create your own Waffle Bar at home with Kellogg’s Eggo Waffles.
