Calling all snow bunnies! Get ready for winter with this Snow Bunny Hat Knit Pattern
Confession, I have never been skiing. Not once. No tubing or sledding either. Even during the entire year when I lived in Utah. But I have been to a ski lodge, and that was fun. For those that are snow bunnies, and those who can only dream of a white winter, I’ve created this snow bunny knit hat pattern.
A reader emailed me a few weeks ago asking if I had a bunny hat similar to my owl hat. She liked that hat and how the cables formed to create the owls. In all honesty I hadn’t experimented with any other cable animal shapes. But I was ready for a challenge.
My bunny hat features both the front and back side of a bunny. They alternate, front and back, around the hat. With the help of some well placed bobbles the bunnies have fluffy tails and cute little paws. The main add-on are the button eyes, just like the owl hat.
I also stitched on a little bunny nose using a tapestry needle and yarn.
I went with a monochromatic look for my hat. The button eyes match the nose and go with the optional pom-pom. Of course you could give the bunny a more traditional pink nose, or skip the nose altogether.
I felt like a snow bunny hat really needed a fun pom-pom on top.
