Buffalo Ranch Grilled Chicken Sandwich

April 20, 2016 by Julie

It’s easy to get into a food rut. The kids have their favorite dishes. I have my favorites. My husband has his favorites. Rotate through all the favorites and at least one person is happy at dinner time. But then we eat the same dishes over and over again. And while I like routine (I mean it, I really do like a routine) it’s good to shake things up from time to time. And that can be as simple as switching out your regular dressings, spreads, or dips for something new.

The twins in particular are big fans of sub sandwiches. They typically like them with chicken, lettuce, cheese, and maybe some tomatoes if I can convince them. Then a small spread of mayonnaise on the bread. But instead of mayonnaise or salad dressing I’m turning their sandwich into a Buffalo Ranch Grilled Chicken Sandwich.

A fresh sub/hoagie roll, filled with grilled chicken, shredded lettuce, some sliced onions, diced tomatoes, and cheese. Then I spread the new Hidden Valley® Buffalo Ranch® all over the top. The Buffalo Ranch® adds a tangy and deliciously addictive cayenne kick to our traditional chicken sub sandwich.

Do you know the deliciousness of dipping pizza into Ranch dressing? I want to challenge you to take it to the next level. Ham pizza dipped in Hidden Valley® Honey BBQ Ranch®. You get the tangy taste of BBQ with a smooth, sweet comfort of honey, combined with the creamy goodness of Original Ranch® all over the ham pizza cheesy deliciousness. My mouth was very happy.

Since I was already prepping the lettuce and tomatoes for the sub sandwiches it was easy to toss together an antipasta salad to go with our meal. This one has several different types of deli meat (salami, ham, whatever you have on hand), provolone cheese, the lettuce and tomatoes I already mentioned, plus some sliced carrots and even cauliflower. I like using frozen vegetables thawed in the microwave and then tossed into the salad, you can grab the carrot/cauliflower/broccoli mix. I topped our salad with more of the Honey BBQ Ranch®.

No meal is really complete without some dessert. This is the only portion of the meal I don’t recommend topping with ranch. My little slice of cheesecake is drizzled in chocolate.

What dish are you going to make unexpectedly delicious with Hidden Valley®? Let me know in the comments!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Hidden Valley. The opinions and text are all mine.
