If I’ve learned one thing with little (and bigger) boys it’s that they like to pick things up and carry them around. From rocks and sticks to coins and small toys. I never know what I fill find in their pockets. So I knew that Littlest would absolutely love this simple upcycled plastic bottle zipper container.
We were able to do this mainly with items we already had at home. Two plastic bottles, scissors (and a serrated knife), hot glue gun, and a zipper.
The first step was to cut down the plastic bottles. I used the knife first and then the scissors (with help from a ruler) to make them even. Once they were cut I measured the inside and trimmed my zipper to the right length.
I used my hot glue gun to attach the zipper to the plastic bottle halves. A low temp glue gun would be idea for this project. I also found it was easier to glue the container together with the zipper unzipped.
Once the zipper was in place it was ready for Littlest! He ran off with it as soon as it was done and started finding things to put inside of it.
