pear dessert

July 1, 2011 by Julie Leave a Comment

I’m not good at making pie crusts and I don’t always have the refridgerated kind on hand. So rather than making a pie crust that I knew I wouldn’t like I opted for making a pear crisp instead.
I used a recipe from my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. Instead of fresh pears I used several cans of pears (that I had bought for the baby but he decided he doesn’t like anymore). It’s yummy. And I finally convinced the twins to try some tonight. They mostly ate the pears and picked off the topping. Which is great because I really like to topping!

Topping is usually my favorite part too.

I think I’ve made myself sick eating it. I have an intolerance to oats (part of the topping). I tried to ration how much I let myself eat, but it tasted too good!
