And then we announced our joint November/December book club pick. Which is…

We hope you’ll read along with us! And then join us for a live tweeting book review/movie watching on December 23rd! We’ll be tweeting at 7pm central time.

I just wrote a really lengthy post about this book but it “timed out” and disappeared. 🙁

I had mixed feelings. A love/hate relationship of sorts. This book was far too eloquent to feel like a scary Halloween book but that was also my favorite part.

One of my favorite moments is when the creature starts telling his story to Victor and uses flowery, descriptive words to describe his experience. Not at all like the grunting and growling I half expected.

This book definitely got a reaction from me even though it was super predictable. One of the strongest reactions was when Victor is on his honeymoon and leaves his bride to patrol the house. I just wanted to yell at the book – GO BACK AND SAVE YOUR WIFE SHE’S ABOUT TO DIE!

    Overall, I love/hated it.

I’m sorry that your longer comment disappeared!
I think a love/hate relationship seems to be common with Frankenstein. And yes, lots of yelling at Victor.
I’m so glad you shared your thoughts on the book!
