Mason Jar Smoothie Blender Trick

April 14, 2015 by Julie 2 Comments

I was at the grocery store and they had the most gorgeous looking strawberries. Littlest and I love eating strawberries and using them to make strawberry smoothies (or shakes). So I was really excited when I discovered a new way to make our smoothies and have less clean up.

Pint size mason jars fit a majority of blenders. Which means I can put all the ingredients in the mason jar, blend it up, and serve it in the same jar. All without having to buy anything new.

Plus, my pint sized jars with the measurements marked on the side made the smoothies really easy to portion. And everyone can personalize their smoothies, adding or subtracting ingredients. I just rinsed the blades between smoothies to prevent any unwanted cross-flavors. Add a straw and they’re ready to serve!
