Combining two kids favorites into one! Macaroni and Cheese Panini sandwiches

Summer means easy dishes, and kid friendly meals. It also means not turning on the oven as much as possible. Kids love STOUFFERS® Macaroni and Cheese. Kids also love grilled cheese sandwiches. What would happen if I combined the two? The answer, something delicious!

STOUFFER’S Macaroni and Cheese is a summertime staple. It’s the perfect side-dish for 4th of July parties, graduation parties, neighborhood picnics, cookouts and more. A must-have for all your summer festivities!

Even something as simple as a night at home, relaxing together as a family. On my latest trip to Walmart I made sure to grab a package of the STOUFFER’S Macaroni and Cheese Family Size. Knowing I wanted to make these macaroni and cheese panini sandwiches, the only other ingredient I needed to pick up was two containers of crescent roll dough.

 Did I mention how much I love not having to turn the oven on in the summer? To make my mac and cheese paninis I just needed my microwave and griddle. I used the microwave directions on my box of STOUFFER’S Macaroni and Cheese and cooked as indicated.

 While my macaroni and cheese was heating up, I could start working on the crescent roll dough for my paninis. Unroll the dough and divide into rectangles, leaving two triangle pieces together.

Place two rectangles onto your panini maker, or I’m using a griddle with grill plates that can close. Cook the crescent roll dough for 60 to 90 seconds and then remove.

Cooking two cans of crescent roll dough makes 8 slices that I can turn into my macaroni and cheese panini sandwiches.

Layer one slice of crescent roll dough with your cooked macaroni and cheese, and then add another slice on top, creating your sandwich.

With everything assembled place back on the panini press or grill for another 1-2 minutes.
