let’s talk turkey

November 10, 2012 by Julie Leave a Comment

This has been a busy few months. School, work, motherhood. But it has also been enjoyable.

Sometimes, though, by Friday after work I’m tired. And I just don’t want to come home and cook dinner. So it was a nice treat recently when I got to pick something up for dinner and bring it home to eat.

What was this delicious meal? HoneyBaked’s New Recipe Turkey Breast. I’m not sure I could even really describe the Turkey Breast other than it was delicious. The exterior was this wonderful sweet, crunchy glaze, and the turkey itself moist and tender. The turkey is 98% fat free, and 100% of it is turkey breast. Each package serves 8-10 people, so there was plenty for our family of 5 (and I even got to have some leftovers).

In addition to the turkey I also picked up two sides from HoneyBaked foods. I got the Broccoli Rice Casserole and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Everything from HoneyBaked ham comes full cooked but either frozen or refridgerated. So I stuck the turkey in the oven and the sides in the microwave while I set the table and unwound from the day.

And after dinner? Cheesecake! HoneyBaked foods has a large selection of desserts available. I picked the Cheesecake Sampler. There were four different kinds of cheesecake in our sampler, New York style, triple chocolate, strawberry swirl, and Mississippi Mud (which was my favorite). Of course I couldn’t try just one, and neither could anyone else in my house. So we sliced each pre-sliced piece in half so that we could all try a few.
Here’s my plate

My husband and the kids all enjoyed every bite of our meal. Here’s the toddler enjoying the cheesecake

And now I get to share a little treat with you. A coupon for $3 off the New Recipe Turkey Breast (click here).
