My boys are all pretty Minecraft crazy. I mean, we’ve had Minecraft birthday parties for the twins and Littlest two years in a row. The boys have primarily been playing Minecraft on my computer/the family computer. But then for their birthday they got a hand-me-down laptop from my parents. Which was great, except that some of their favorite worlds were saved on my computer. Enter the Gameband!
The Gameband lets my kids take their favorite Worlds and play them on any computer at any time. My computer, their laptop, Grandma’s computer, anywhere we go. It’s a wearable wristband that doubles as a USB. It has super long-lasting hardware and it also backs up your Worlds onto their secure, cloud-based servers. Gameband belongs to Now Computing and is affiliated with Minecraft.
The first step of owning your Gameband is registering it, so if you lose your device you can contact Now Computing and order a replacement with all of your data and Worlds intact! Of course, if you have any feedback regarding your Gameband, you should reach out to Now Computing.
With boys I always appreciate a tough product. I was excited that in addition to being tough, the Gameband is also splash proof. I got the large size for my kids, but it also comes in a small size.
I grabbed my Gameband at GameStop. And I would recommend hurrying over there, because these are flying off the shelves. At my store they had it displayed behind the counter.
Minecraft is all about customization, and the Gameband is no different. It comes preloaded with PixelFurnace, which is an App that lets you customize your Gameband with messages, images and animations that you create. Oldest twin made a holiday animation for his Gameband that is complete with Ho Ho Ho, some presents, and a Christmas tree.
In addition to PixelFurnace the Gameband also comes with some maps from Sethbling, Hypixel and Dragonz (names that your own Minecraft fanatic will probably recognize, mine sure did.) The Minecraft™ Game License is sold separately.
If you’re still looking for the perfect gift for your Minecraft fanatic, this is it.

The customization via PixelFurnace is so cool. I love that it adds yet another techhie element and way to get kids interested in coding at some level. So cute! #client
