Thanksgiving Name Cards

November 18, 2014 by Julie 1 Comment

We're typically not too formal when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. But I'm hosting at my house this year and I thought it would be nice to continue our thankful theme. (Our "Give Thanks" banner has been hanging up all month.) I'm thankful for everyone who will be sitting at my table that day. I wanted their name cards to reflect … [Read more...]

Finger Knitting

November 13, 2014 by Julie 5 Comments

It's no secret that I have a slight obsession with yarn. So for the letter K I thought the kids and I could try some finger knitting. And now we've added a new coffee table. We've been looking for a new coffee table for a few months now, but nothing was quite right. Saturday we visited a couple antique/resale stores in Dallas and found this. The … [Read more...]

DIY Kid Friendly Ghosts

October 15, 2014 by Julie 9 Comments

How handy that we could make ghosts for our letter G activity this week? We made two variations of these friendly ghosts. First a simple popsicle stick ghost. And the second started the same as the first with the addition of a bunch of tissue paper squares glued on the top. Then we used a cotton ball dipped in black paint to add the faces. This was great because it was simple enough for … [Read more...]
