When it comes to tricks and treats, this Googly Eye Frame craft is most definitely a treat.
When it comes to tricks or treats, I much prefer treats. As a teenager my friends and I loved to go to haunted houses. But now my Halloween is about cute costumes, some fun, and lots of candy.
Even though the twins are teenagers now they’ve never been much interested in the scary side of Halloween. Either in being scared or the ones doing the scaring. Our “BOO”-ing will involve a knock at the door, or a ring of the doorbell, and a treat left on the porch.
While there will certainly be edible treats left for friends and neighbors, I wanted our “You’ve been Boo’ed” baskets to have a craft in them as well. So I made this easy Googly Eye BOO! Happy Halloween frame.
My supplies were pretty basic.
Google Eye Happy Halloween Frame
- wooden frame
- bag of multi-colored googly eyes
- black paint
- paintbrush
- glue
The first step was to paint my frame black and let it dry. Once the frame was dry I glued on the googly eyes using hot glue. I started in one corner and fit the eyes around, filling the frame as full as I could without having the eyes hanging over any of the edges. For an extra touch I added a foam pumpkin in the bottom right corner.
Then I made this cute BOO! printable and added it to the back of my frame. I picked some Halloween colors that matched the colors of my googly eyes.
