Spring Wreath

March 18, 2014 by Julie 2 Comments

Spring officially/technically arrives this Thursday the 20th. And since St. Patricks day is now over, I decided to do a very quick turnaround from my shamrock good luck wreath (here). This welcome spring wreath still uses the same white wreath base (you can see my finger knitting tutorial here). This time I just took of the two shamrocks and added on three small crochet flowers. Happy St. Patrick’s Day #luckyyarnbomb

March 17, 2014 by Julie 2 Comments

Hoping to share some good luck today with a #luckyyarnbomb. I made several crochet four leaf clovers for the kids and I to leave places today. Just like last year each crochet shamrock will have a "wishing you good luck" note as well as my #luckyyarnbomb tag. Hoping everyone has a happy and lucky St. Patrick's Day! update: Here are some of our shamrocks spreading luck around Sundance Square … [Read more...]

I picked some 'camo' colors (shades of green, gray, and black) and crocheted holding two … [Read more...]

My kids love popcorn. Especially Littlest Brother. And his favorite color is green. So I'm pretty sure this Lucky Green Popcorn is his new favorite snack. Essentially two ingredients, popcorn and green melting chocolates. I put the popped popcorn into a large tupperware bowl and poured the melted chocolate over it. Then I shook the bowl until the popcorn was pretty evenly covered. I had less … [Read more...]

celebrating a birthday

March 10, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

I sometimes (often) struggle with being social. Left to my natural tendencies I'm pretty much a homebody. But birthdays are a great reason to gather with friends for food and fun. This time it was to celebrate my youngest sisters birthday. Dinner at a favorite Tex-Mex place. Then hanging out way too late playing games and eating cake. My sisters and I love playing the game Heads Up … [Read more...]
