Homemade Biscuits with Chili and Eggs

September 11, 2014 by Julie 6 Comments

I think we all have dishes that we are better at making than others. The ones we bring out for potlucks and parties. Personally, I make pretty amazing homemade buttermilk biscuits. I like to think it's because I'm a Texas girl. My Mom taught me how to make homemade biscuits. Her Mom (my Nana) made homemade biscuits. Her Mom made homemade biscuits. And probably further back than that. They aren't … [Read more...]

Fall in {Leaf} Wreath

September 10, 2014 by Julie 7 Comments

M.A.D.E. Local

September 9, 2014 by Julie Leave a Comment

I'm crazy about things that are handmade and supporting local artists. This weekend was a combination of all those things. Which made it pretty perfect. Saturday was the M.A.D.E. Plus the whole show was a benefit to the Hope … [Read more...]

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser #SparklySavings. All opinions are mine alone. #CollectiveBias With a household of 5, 4 of those being boys, and 3 people at home all day long, we go through a lot of dishes. I've blogged before about how happy I was to find a dishwashing routine that worked for our family. Primarily that I do the dishes every day at … [Read more...]

Ellens

September 3, 2014 by Julie 4 Comments

I made an important discovery over Labor Day Weekend. And that is that mac and cheese tastes infinitely better with bacon. And tomatoes. And spinach. We spent part of Labor Day shopping at IKEA. We went with the intention of looking for a new coffee table and some lighting. They were sold out of the coffee table we liked. And we didn't get any new lighting either. I did get a new rug for the … [Read more...]
